I almost missed THIS for laundry!!!

So here are some random photos. Karlie at her Raglan Cheer Performance. Valentines Day and my beautiful red roses. Chase (handsome young man that he is) with his History Fair Project. We took the kids fishing, and they all caught fish. Karlie actually caught her first fish, she was so excited. I HATE to fish, I hate the fish, the worms, the bait, the SMELL!!! But I am hollering uncle and am glad that I went. I would have hated to miss the smiles on their faces as they each reeled in their catches! The alternative for me was to stay home and work on the laundry. I am thankful that sometimes my sweet hubby puts his foot down and insists that I go with them. Especially today.

Man, its been a while!

I have been a total slacker and I can give you the reason why: FACEBOOK! If you want to know whats been going on in the Millett house, join facebook. Be warned, its a little addicting.
It has been a busy month. Valentines was wonderful. I got beautiful roses from my sweetie. We ordered our favorite Chinese food (Rickshaw) and watched a movie. It was so nice to just sit and cuddle on the couch.
My mom hosted a wonderful scrapbook retreat in Kanab. We did some waaayy cute projects and just had a great time hanging out with friends. My mom, my sister, and I always have a fun time, we do nothing but laugh, and drink way tooooo much soda!!!!!
The kids are busy with school. Chase is involved in the history fair. Man is it a lot of work. Ask him anything about Albert Sydney Johnson! Tyler is getting ready to write an essay about Artemus Millett for the Sons of the Utah Pioneers essay contest. And Karlie is just reading everything she can get her hands on. It took a little longer to click, but she is a reading maniac!
Life is good at the Millett's! We wish there was a little more construction going on, but.......
So here are a few random pictures. I apologize if you have already seen some of these on FB. Have a great rest of the month :)

Happy 10th Birthday Tyler

Why is it that our kids grow so fast. It seems only yesterday that I was paging Joe (we didn't have cell phones, only pagers) as he went to work on the Excalibur remodel.
But I love celebrating my kids birthdays. Tyler is such a wonderful young man. He has big ambitions to be a star/pro athlete. He wants to go to college so that he can take care of his aging parents. (haha)
Tyler is a hard worker, a straight A student, and a talented soccer player (wanting to try football next)
He has a growing testimony of the gospel, and I love to sit next to him at church and listen to him sing the hymns.
Tyler we love you bunches! Happy Birthday Ty-Guy!

Husband Tag

My sister tagged me forever ago, and I am finally getting around to doing it. I loved this tag, because it isn't all about me or what I like, but more importantly it is about what I LOVE! My hubby! So here goes:

1. How long did you date? Not long, we were engaged 10 days after our first official date! But we were engaged for a full year!

2. How long have you been married? 14 1/2 years

3. What does he do to surprise you? He does sooo much. He really is a true romantic. But flowers are his favorite (mine too) I get them at school, at home......

4. What is his best feature? His eyes (he has the longest eyelashes ever) I am so envious.

5. What is his best quality? He is caring, and always wants to see me happy

6. Does he have a nickname for you? Yep, some he has acquired from my childhood, but most of the time its honey-bunny, or shay-shay.

7. What is his favorite color? He's not real particular, blue-purple-red

8. What is his favorite animal? Probably our dog Marshmallow

9. What is his favorite food? Mexican-the hotter the better

10. What is his favorite sport? He's not really into sports, but an occasional football game makes him happy

11. When and where did you first kiss? In the bowling alley parking lot (on our first date)

12. What is your favorite thing to do as a couple? Just be together-we're completely content to just walk around target, go to dinner, nothing fancy

13. How many children do you have? 3

14. Does he have a hidden talent? I don't know if it is hidden, but he is so knowledgeable when it comes to the scriptures.

15. How old is he? 41`

16. Who said I love you first? NOt sure on that one

17. What is his favorite music? Just about anything, depends on the mood- country, rock, oldies...

18. Do you think he will read this? Nope, I don't think he looks at the blog unless I tell him to.

I am married to my best friend and I am so thankful for him. He truly is my "EC" I love him!

Service kids

Every month a student is picked from each class based on a character trait. This month it was service. Tyler's teacher was first to let me know that she had chosen him; he serves on the Student Council and is so very helpful, but she was most impressed with the fact that at 6:00 AM on a school day, that he had gone and picked peaches at the church farm. Then I get a note saying that Karlie was chosen as the Service Girl from her class, because she is helpful, and takes the chairs down every morning. It was a proud mommy moment!
