March Madness Ending Soon

This being a crazy, busy week (as if the others are not) I decided to do an end of March post. So here goes. March has been great, despite the crazy weather. We had a wonderfully green St. Paddy's Day, complete with corned beef and cabbage, green koolaid, festive cupcakes, and of course a pot of gold (coins that is). We have planted our garden. SO excited for the yummy food. And thanks to my seester, I have an incredibly clean, incredibly organized scrapbook room. Its so clean that I am afraid to go in and use it. BUt summer is fast approaching, and the scraproom will be the happenin' place to be. Did I mention that there are only 40 school days left! To all you moms, I can hear the groans, but I can hear all the teachers shouting HURRAY!!!!!
Congratulations are in order for each of my children:
Chase managed to come home with a wonderful report card (GPA: 3.96) not that this is a surprise, but we are always so proud of him. He is currently counting down the days until he is officially a teenager. 23 days!

Tyler just competed in the District Geography challenge, He was sent to represent his 4th grade from Washington Elementary. He didn't place, but he sure learned a lot of information in a short amount of time. He is almost done with his science fair project "which will hit a baseball farther, wooden or aluminum bat?" We are now adding the creative touches to his board. Way to go Ty!

Karlie for anyone who knows her really isn't too shy, except for an occasional time or two,.. but when it comes to getting up in front of a group, that brings forth the tears. But she just gave a talk in Primary all by herself!! She wrote the talk as well She was supposed to talk on family members having important responsibilities. She read and presented the entire talk! Way to go Kar!
I truly feeled blessed to have such amazing children who are helpful and loving, and successful. They are each developing a testimony of the gospel in their own way, and I am proud of the choices that they make.

The night before the retreat we all meet for dinner. This year we tried a new restraunt in Richfield called the Tomato Vine, yummy!!!! We spent the day scrapbooking a bunch of way cute projects. Scrapbooking is so my stress relief. I'm so glad that we girls have this in common. So here are a few pics.

Saved the best for last: I am loved

You know you're loved when you have a fridge full of sweet pictures and notes from your children. Karlie loves to color and draw, she is becoming quite the little artist. SHe always draws my favorites, bees, butterflies, flowers.. you know all that girlie stuff. I just had to share a few of her most recent projects and my most recent treasures.

Don't give a 6 year old the camera

So, I grabbed my camera the other day to take some pictures. As I was reviewing them I realized that there were about 30 extra pictures. Here are just a few. Apparently the other day Karlie saw my camera just sitting there, so she grabbed it and started snapping. I now have ver blurry pictures of her entire Little Pet Shop collection, along with some random photos of weeds in the back yard. I guess its time to get that girl a camera!

Fish Stories

I almost missed THIS for laundry!!!

So here are some random photos. Karlie at her Raglan Cheer Performance. Valentines Day and my beautiful red roses. Chase (handsome young man that he is) with his History Fair Project. We took the kids fishing, and they all caught fish. Karlie actually caught her first fish, she was so excited. I HATE to fish, I hate the fish, the worms, the bait, the SMELL!!! But I am hollering uncle and am glad that I went. I would have hated to miss the smiles on their faces as they each reeled in their catches! The alternative for me was to stay home and work on the laundry. I am thankful that sometimes my sweet hubby puts his foot down and insists that I go with them. Especially today.
