Every month a student is picked from each class based on a character trait. This month it was service. Tyler's teacher was first to let me know that she had chosen him; he serves on the Student Council and is so very helpful, but she was most impressed with the fact that at 6:00 AM on a school day, that he had gone and picked peaches at the church farm. Then I get a note saying that Karlie was chosen as the Service Girl from her class, because she is helpful, and takes the chairs down every morning. It was a proud mommy moment!

Jubilee of Trees
This is the 3rd year we have gone to the Jubilee of Trees. It just puts you into the spirit. I know that I sure admire other people's talents when I look at all the trees. The kids just love it, we all ooooh and aaaahhhh all the way thru. SO this year the winners are:
Karlie loved the Cinderella Tree and the Candyland tree
Tyler's favorite was the Ginch that Stole Christmas (Very creative, it was a very large Grinch, with the decorated tree on his back.)
Chase has a flair for Asian Decor, his pick was the Japanese themed tree.
I had so many favorites that it was hard to choose, but the beautiful, traditional setting, complete with fireplace was my choice.
After we finished, I was so ready to come home and start putting up decorations, but I have made a deal with the hubby, that those can't be put up until AFTER Thanksgiving. So, I guess I wait a few more days!

No TV
So, Soccer is over, that frees up our Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Now what? We spent all day (in between soccer games) cleaning the house and getting laundry and chores done. Needless to say the kids were none too happy. I tried to explain that if they would get things done during the week, that would free up our Saturday. Thus, the no tv week was born. We really don't watch much tv, but the kids are always complaining about the things that we don't do enough of as a family (read, play games......) We decided to see how much more we could do IF we turned off the tv for a week. That includes video games, DS's.. all of that, unless we go down to play the WII together as a family. I will keep you posted on how we are doing and post some pictures later.

So here it is, my second post. Life is crazy as usual. Soccer is coming to an end. Karlie played for the first time and loved it! Tyler has played for 4 seasons now, he is quite the defender. Chase is involved in the tech club and was just made an official member (which means he gets to help all around the school with technical/computer issues) He is thrilled! Anything to d with computers or technology, he is all over.
I had one of those Oh my gosh moments the other day. Chase was going to a friends birthday party. I was checking the date and time and realized that it was his friends 13th party. Then it hit me, Chase is almost 13 (well in April he will be) But Holy Hannah, I almost have a teenager in the house! They grow up waaaay tooooo fast. But it sure is a fun adventure. I love watching as my kids try and learn new things. SO here are some random pictures of my awesome kids!

Halloween & My first post
So, I have now entered the world of blogging! It has taken me a while, but here it is. Halloween was great fun. We have a fun neighborhood to go trick or treating in. It was sort of sad because the boys decided that they would rather go to the haunted corn maze than trick or treat, so Karlie and I set out while Joe handed out candy. Karlie's best little friend went with us too.
Now that I have a post here, I guess I have no other option than to continue adding to them right? Be patient with me, this is all new! But a new adventure!
